Surah Toor is the fifty-second surah and one of the Meccan surahs of the Qur'an, which is located in chapter 27. In the first verse of this sura, the oath is mentioned as "Tur" and that is why this surah is called "Tur". It is said that Toor means the mountain where the revelation was given to Prophet Moses (pbuh). Surah Toor threatens the unbelievers with punishment and describes some features of that punishment. Then he describes some of the blessings of heaven and reprimands the deniers of the Prophet's (PBUH) prophecy.
