In the Name of God, the Light of heavens and the earth
The Prophet (s.‘a.w.) was quoted as saying,
“If one wishes to acquire the knowledge of the former generations and that of the latter ones, he should examine the Qur’an (and ponder on its meanings, interpretation and recitation)”. Kanz al-‘Ummal, 2454
The Qur’an is the word of God, the wellspring of knowledge and the book of guidance. The Muslims’ endeavors to memorize its verses and ponder on its concepts and messages from the early Islam so far has always more than that of others with regard to any other book or scripture. With the advent of the age of information, the digital Qur’anic activities and researches have been focused by academic institutes. In line with this, Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (also known as Noor Center) has proceeded to design and develop various Qur’anic software programs and applications, among which is the present Qur’anic App.
