Surah S is the thirty-eighth surah and one of the Meccan surahs of the Qur'an, which is located in the twenty-third chapter. The naming of this surah as "Sad" is due to the presence of the broken letter "S" at the beginning of it. This surah is about the call to monotheism and sincerity by the Prophet of Islam (pbuh), the stubbornness of polytheists, the stories of some prophets, and the description of the two groups of the pious and the wicked in the Resurrection. Regarding the revelation of this Surah, it is said that after the conversation between the infidels and the Prophet of Islam, its first verses were revealed. Also, verse 26 is addressed to Hazrat Dawood (pbuh) about the greatness and importance of the position of judgment, including the verses of Al-Ahkam.
