Surah Mutafiffin is the eighty-third surah of the Holy Qur'an and the last surah of the Meccan surahs, which is included in the 30th chapter of the Qur'an. Mutafin means low sellers. In this Surah, God condemns the low sellers and says that they think there is no afterlife. The description of the events of Resurrection and the description of the attributes of Abrar (good people) and Fajran (sinners) constitute the content of this surah. In the books of interpretation, it has been revealed that the 30th verse of this sura was revealed in the honor of the opponents of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (a.s.). About the virtue of reciting this Surah, it is mentioned in the narrations that whoever recites this Surah, God will water him on the Day of Resurrection with a pure and pure drink that no one has touched. It has also been narrated that whoever recites it in his prayers will be saved from the fire of hell. The final verses of Surah Mutaffin, which talks about Abrar (do-gooders), are among the verses that have been engraved on the shrine of Hazrat Abbas.
