Surah Insan or Hal-Atay or Dahr is the seventy-sixth surah and one of the Madani surahs of the Qur'an, which is located in part 29. Surah Insan talks about the creation and guidance of man, the attributes of the righteous and the blessings that God gives them, as well as the importance of the Qur'an and God's providence. According to Shia commentators and some Sunnis, the eighth verse of this sura, known as the verse of feeding, was revealed in honor of Hazrat Ali (a.s.), Fatima Zahra (a.s.), Hassanein (a.s.) and their servant Fazah. They kept their vow of fasting for three consecutive days and even though they were hungry, they gave their Iftar to the poor, orphans and captives. Among the rewards mentioned for reciting this surah is companionship with the Prophet (PBUH) in the hereafter.
