How to Play Sudoku:
Grid Structure:
Sudoku is played on a 9x9 grid, divided into nine 3x3 subgrids.
The grid starts with some numbers already filled in, typically between 20 to 36 numbers, depending on the puzzle's difficulty.
Objective:
The goal is to fill the grid so that each row, each column, and each of the nine 3x3 subgrids (also known as "regions" or "boxes") contains all the digits from 1 to 9 without repetition.
Rules:
You cannot repeat any number within the same row, column, or 3x3 subgrid.
Initially, some numbers (usually around 30) are already provided as clues to help you get started.
Strategy:
Begin by scanning the grid for numbers that are missing and could only fit in one specific place due to the rules of Sudoku (elimination method).
Use logic and deduction to gradually fill in more numbers.
Advanced players use techniques like "pencil marking" (where possible numbers for each cell are noted in pencil) and more complex strategies such as "hidden singles," "naked pairs," and "X-Wing" to solve tougher puzzles.
Completion:
The puzzle is solved when the entire grid is filled correctly according to the rules.
Sudoku is a challenging yet rewarding puzzle game that exercises logical thinking and pattern recognition skills. It's enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels, offering a great way to relax and stimulate the mind.
