After losing forever his legendary good looks in _Deadpool (2016)_ (qv), the wisecracking Mercenary with a Mouth, Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, reluctantly joins Professor Charles Xavier's X-Men, after a sudden tragedy. Seeking redemption, Wade embarks on a mission to save the troubled fire-starting mutant, Russell, unbeknownst to him that Cable, a powerful time-travelling cyborg, has already set his sights on killing the young boy.
