Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1

Shva asks a villager how did his father disappeared in the jungle. The story goes many years back when an evil king ruled the village and treated people like slaves.He discovers a pouch from an old fisherman which has precious spices and leads to secret garden in the jungle the king falls prey to fisherman's plan and gets killed by the guardian.His son Rajshekar still a kid sees his fathers death in front of him but manages to escape and gets saved by tribal people of Kadapa.Rajshekar traumatized by his father's death swears never to enter the secret garden,he gets crowned as the king and gives birth to two kids Kulshekar and Kanakavathi.Meanwhile in Kantara village a young boy is found in a well and believed to be divine. He gets adopted by a tribal women who names him Berme.Years later Kulshekar gets crowned as king and is as ruthless as his grandfather he decides to cross the jungle boundary and enter secret garden where Berme and his men attack them. Berme with few of his men reaches Rajshekar's Bangara kingdom and discovers spices from forest are used for barter trade.Thou Berme and his men are kept as prisoners but Rajshekar releases them and Berme decides to cultivate the spices in his village and does barter system of the same in Bangara kingdom and gets romantically involved with Kanakavathi.When Berme enters secret garden to find more spices for trade he gets attacked by Kadapa tribal and finds that they share old grudge with his village. But Berme has no idea that he will be further be trapped into many unanswered questions and trap of betrayal.—alex.mjacko@gmail.com
