English Digest 1 provides a variety of exposure to language for the students of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The main premise of this application is that reading is an important activity which should be taught comprehensively and systematically. The organization of this application is based on lessons each of which contains different informative, knowledgeable, and amusing parts. The present application, contains ten units of diverse topics of interest, tries to meet the students’ interest by careful selection of topics which are not only informative linguistically, but also interesting as far as general information is concerned. Each unit begins with a list of contextualized new words, followed by a reading text plus exercises about comprehension questions, vocabulary practices such as completion and matching reflecting our underlying belief in “practice makes perfect”.
