Fakhr al-Din As'ad Gorgani (429-495 AH) was an Iranian poet and storyteller from the first half of the 5th century AH. He was a contemporary of Tughril Seljuk. He was familiar with religious and philosophical sciences and was a follower of the Ismaili faith.

Gorgani is the author of "Vis and Ramin," one of the most important Persian love stories. This story depicts the story of the love, reunion, and separation of Vis and Ramin.
