Surah Asr or Wal-Asr is the hundred and third surah and one of the Meccan surahs of the Qur'an, which is in the thirtieth part of the Qur'an. The name of the surah is taken from its first verse. In this Surah, God mentions Asr al-Qasm that humans are in loss, except for those who are people of faith and righteous deeds and command each other with truth and patience. In the narrations, the people of faith are those who have faith in Imam Ali (a.s.). It has been narrated from the Prophet (pbuh) that whoever recites this surah, his work will end with patience and he will be gathered together with the companions of the righteous on the Day of Judgment.
