Call Break (Callbreak) is the four-player trick-taking card game loved across Nepal and
India. Everyone plays for themselves, spades are always trump, and before every round you
call how many tricks you will take — then you have to make it.
♠ THE REAL RULES
• Call once each, from 1 to 8 tricks. Your call and your tricks so far stay above your name.
• Make your call and you score it, plus 0.1 for every extra trick. Miss it and you lose it.
• Follow suit, and beat the highest card on the table when you can.
• Out of the suit? You must trump with a spade, and overtrump if a spade is already down.
• Cards the rules don't allow stay dimmed, so you never misplay by accident.
• A hand dealt without a single spade is redealt automatically.
• Five rounds, and the highest total wins.
♠ PICK YOUR RIVALS
Sit down with a cast of characters, each with their own skill and temper — one calls bold,
another plays it safe. Choose the three you play against, or just pick a difficulty.
♠ BOTS THAT COUNT THEIR TRICKS
They read their hand before they call, play to make it, and once they have, they turn to
stopping everyone else from making theirs.
♠ PLAY TOGETHER, NO INTERNET
Gather four phones around one room code over Bluetooth. Empty seats are filled by bots.
No account, no data, no Wi-Fi needed — perfect for trips, tea breaks and family nights.
♠ AND MORE
• Resume any game exactly where you left it: hands, calls and scores.
• A round report after every hand: each trick card by card, and everyone's call and score.
• Stats, a daily challenge and streak, and badges for exact calls and for making a call of 8.
• Several card decks and backs, sound, your own name, and 17 languages including Nepali
and Hindi.
