PetroSelect6A
is a specialized engineering application developed to assist oil and gas
professionals in the accurate selection and verification of wellhead and
Christmas tree equipment in accordance with API 6A, Specification for
Wellhead and Tree Equipment.

The
application integrates key engineering parameters such as pressure rating,
temperature class, material class selection (AA–HH), and sour service
evaluation based on NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156, including
analysis of H₂S and CO₂conditions, to support
reliable and standards, compliant equipment selection. By providing a
structured and automated workflow for evaluating well conditions and equipment
specifications, PetroSelect6A reduces manual calculations, minimizes
interpretation errors, and improves engineering efficiency during drilling,
completion, and production projects. The application also stores user input and
project data locally on the user’s mobile device in a database organized by project name, enabling easy
retrieval and project management. In addition, PetroSelect6A can automatically
generate and export a clear, user‑friendly PDF report summarizing
the analysis and selected specifications, which is ready for printing and can
be directly submitted as a professional engineering report.
