PetroSelect 5ST is a dedicated inspection and
acceptance tool for coiled tubing (CT) pipe, built for oil & gas
purchasers, TPI inspectors, and quality engineers. It guides users through the
complete mill inspection workflow in full conformance with API Spec 5ST, First
Edition 2010 / Addendum 2024.

Phase 1 — Purchase Order Definition:

Define the full technical specification of the CT order: manufacturer details,
grade (CT55 through CT140), OD, wall thickness, unit weight, reel length, end
connections, special testing requirements, and required documentation. A
formatted Purchase Order PDF is generated automatically on completion.

Phase 2 — Mill Inspection &
Acceptance (6 steps):

Step 1 – Document Receipt:Log received manufacturer documents (MTR, Certificate of Compliance,
hydrotest certificate, weld location log, WPS/PQR, NDE technician certs) and
flag any outstanding items.

Step 2 – MTR Review:Enter and evaluate chemical composition and mechanical properties (yield
strength, tensile strength, hardness) against API 5ST grade limits. Supports
both HRC and HRB hardness scales with automatic ASTM E140-12b conversion and
psi/MPa unit switching.

Step 3 – Dimensional Inspection:Record measured OD, wall thickness, and barbell dimensions and verify
against ordered tolerances.

Step 4 – Test Certificates:Enter hydrostatic test data (start/end pressure, duration, gauge
calibration) with automatic pressure drop computation.

Step 5 – NDE & Weld Log:Record NDE method results and skelp-end weld positions along the reel.

Step 6 – Acceptance Decision:Review pass/fail status of all sections and issue either a CT Acceptance
Certificate or a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) with notes.

The final output is a structured 4-page PDF certificate
covering all inspection sections, ready for the project file.
