MuchToman adds up everything you own and tells you what it's worth in Toman. Your bank balances come straight from the SMS your bank already sends you, and your gold, coins, currency, crypto and stocks get today's free-market prices. Those same messages fill in your spending, so you never type a purchase twice.
It's in Persian, with big, easy-to-read type. Large amounts read the way you'd say them out loud, "4.7 billion Toman" rather than "4,666,251,136".
What it keeps track of
• Cash in Toman and your bank balances
• US dollar, euro, pound, Turkish lira, UAE dirham, Canadian dollar and Norwegian krone
• The top 250 cryptocurrencies, at Iranian exchange prices
• 18k gold by the gram or mesghal, and silver at 999 or 925
• Emami, Bahar Azadi, Nim, Rob and Gerami coins, and Parsian coins by the sut
• Shares, funds and bonds on the Tehran Stock Exchange and Farabourse
• Your car, home or land, at whatever value you give it
Everything uses free-market rates, never the official one. The last good rates stay on your phone, so it works offline too. For crypto, save a public wallet address and the balance keeps itself up to date. Nobody will ever ask you for a recovery phrase or private key.
Your total is saved once a day, so you can see how it moved over the past year. There's a home screen widget too, showing your total and today's change.
Your spending, straight from bank SMS
The app only reads messages from bank numbers, and it reads them right on your phone. It goes by the sender's number, not what the message says, so the rest of your texts are never read. One-time codes from your bank are never stored or backed up. And you never hand over your online banking password.
Messages from these 18 banks are read automatically: Blu, Saman, Refah, Pasargad, Eghtesad Novin, Middle East, Saderat, Resalat, Parsian, Mellat, Melli, Day, Tejarat, Sepah, Keshavarzi, Post Bank, Maskan and Mehr Iran. If your bank texts from a number the app doesn't know, pick the bank on the bank accounts screen.
There are more than 30 ready-made categories, and you can make your own. When you file a transaction, you can have similar ones filed the same way from then on.
Budgets and savings
Set a weekly, monthly or seasonal limit for any category. The budget card shows what's left and whether you're spending faster than the calendar. Your phone gives you a heads-up at 80%, at 95% and when you go over, just once per period. Got a goal like "50 million in 6 months"? It'll tell you how much to set aside each month.
Installments and loans
Add a phone you're paying off or a mortgage once, with the monthly amount, the number of payments and the due day. When you file a transaction under installments and loans, the app asks which one it paid. Each card shows how much you've paid so far and when the next payment is due.
Income and spending report
See what came in and what went out for any stretch from a week to a year, category by category. Each finished period is also shown in dollars, at the rates of the days it covered.
Family ledger, if you want one
Your family joins with a one-time QR code. Everyone decides for themselves whether to share their SMS transactions, and sharing starts off. Shared items show whose they are, and anyone in the family can categorize them or leave a note. Sync is end-to-end encrypted, so the server can't see your transactions or anyone's name.
Privacy
No sign-up, no account, no analytics. The app never uploads your SMS text. Your backup is a single file locked with a passphrase you pick, and without it nobody can open it, not even the app. You can also lock the app with your fingerprint or phone PIN.
One thing before you install
The app reads SMS, not push notifications. If your bank sends transaction alerts through its own app instead of SMS, that bank's balance will stay at the last message. Turn SMS alerts back on in your bank's settings and you're set.
