Explore nearby magnetic metal with your phone’s built-in magnetic sensor. Metal Detector displays real-time magnetic field readings, with a visual meter and sound or vibration alerts to help you notice changes as you move your device.

Use it to explore how iron, steel, magnets, and nearby magnetic objects affect your phone’s sensor.

KEY FEATURES

• Live magnetic field readings
• Easy-to-read detection meter
• Sound and vibration alerts
• Explore nearby magnetic metal objects
• Simple controls for everyday use
• Magnetic field experiments for learning and discovery

HOW TO USE

1. Open the app on a phone with a magnetic sensor.
2. Move your phone slowly near an object.
3. Watch the readings and detection meter for changes.
4. Use sound or vibration alerts to notice stronger readings.

For a simple test, try a known iron or steel object close to your phone. Sensor position and sensitivity vary between devices.

UNDERSTAND YOUR READINGS

The app measures magnetic field changes; it does not identify the material causing them. Magnets, electronics, phone accessories, and surrounding magnetic fields can influence the readings.

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS

A built-in magnetic sensor, also called a magnetometer, is required. Results depend on your phone, distance, object size, and surrounding interference.

A phone magnetometer cannot reliably detect pure gold, silver, or copper, or distinguish gold from other materials. This app does not replace a dedicated metal detector or a professional wall scanner. Do not rely on it to locate wiring or pipes before drilling.

Discover magnetic field changes around you with a clear meter and convenient alerts.
