One of the prayers that the infallible Imams and religious leaders emphasize on the continuous recitation of is the pilgrimage to Ashura, which has many constructive effects on individuals. In the book Mafatih al-Jinan, before the text of the pilgrimage to Ashura, Hadiqi quotes Imam Baqir (a.s.) as saying: This is a prayer that the angels recite, and God writes a hundred thousand degrees in return for reciting it, and you will be like someone who was martyred with Imam Hussein (a.s.). The reward of the pilgrimage of every prophet and messenger and Imam Hussein (a.s.) from the time of their martyrdom will be written for the person.

Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Whoever visits my grandfather Hussein (a.s.) by reciting the pilgrimage to Ashura (whether from a distance or near), I swear by God that God will grant him every material and spiritual need he has. Alqamah ibn Muhammad Hadhrami, quoting Imam Baqir (a.s.), says that the fifth Imam of the Shiites, after reciting the Ziyarat of Ashura, said: O Alqamah, if you are able to perform this Ziyarat on Husayn (a.s.) every day of your life, then do it, then you will have the reward of this entire Ziyarat.
