Allama Majlisi has said: In some books worthy of respect, it has been narrated from Muhammad ibn Babawayh that he narrated this supplication from the Imams (peace be upon them) and said: I did not recite it in any matter except that I soon found the effect of its being answered;

The author says: Sheikh Kafami in his book “Bildal-e-Amin” has narrated a detailed supplication called the supplication of Faraj, in which this supplication of Tawassul is included, and I think that “The Twelve Imams” by Khwaja Nasir al-Din Tusi is this supplication of Tawassul, which he combined with prayers upon the pure divine proofs, and its collection is included in an eloquent and clear sermon, and Kafami has explained it in the last parts of his book “Misbah”.
