Application documentation is here: http://www.nitramite.com/quickscan.html
Features
• Scan connected WLAN network quickly.
• Simple port scanner with common ports. Shows what ports are open on your devices.
• Can show vendor details when available.
• Wide range custom port scanner.
• Automated host alive check. Shows if host drops from network.
• Hidden devices scan option which means hosts having ICMP ping disabled via firewall could be found when this option is enabled.
• Voice feedback feature with active device scanning. Informs via TTS engine voice when new host if found or existing host state changes. Handy for active network monitoring without need for looking phone.
• Small integrated experimental web server user interface. See settings.
Troubleshooting
"Web user interface is not opening at all"
• Background service was introduced in version 1.13.13, verify that you have at least this version.
"Web user interface is not opening"
• Check your device battery saving features and disable it for QuickScan application.
"Web user interface responds very slowly"
• This is battery saving feature also, just keep waiting.
"User interface shows less items than web interface"
• Click back button till app 'closes' and re open it. It will then load state from service. Killing app won't help, that will also destroy service which means that state is lost.
App permissions
• Internet connection.
• WiFi state
• Location permission needed only to show SSID, this is optional and not required to be given or GPS to be enabled. Your GPS location is not compromised nor used/sent anywhere by this application. Getting SSID is behind GPS module on Android.
