The National Flight Academy (NFA) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) educational organization located aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. The NFA offers one of the most exciting and immersive learning experiences in the world, inspiring 7-12th graders to take an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through an aviation-themed adventure aboard the massive virtual aircraft carrier, Ambition (CVT-11).

During a typical summer 6-day “Deployment,” students aboard Ambition live the life of a Naval Aviator, utilizing high-tech ready rooms, information and operations centers, and over 30 networked flight simulators to fly challenging missions as they test the experimental X-12 Triad.

Get a taste of our world-class STEM education program as you fly the high-performance X-12 Triad on your mobile device! Take off from NAS Pensacola, zoom to 50,000’ at over Mach 2, then trap aboard the carrier Ambition or make a vertical landing using the X-12’s advance vectored thrust engines and variable geometry wings. After that, take a virtual tour of the ship or examine an interactive model of the X-12!
