Chelseas are an English professional football club based in London. Founded in 1905, the club participates in the Premier League, the first division of English football. Chelsea are among the most successful clubs in England, having joined more than thirty competitive honors, including six league titles and six European trophies.
Chelsea won their first major honor, the League Championship, in 1955. The club first entered the FA Cup in 1970. After a period of decline in the late 1970s and 1980s, the club experienced a revival in the 1990s and one had more success in cup competitions. The last two decades have been the most successful in Chelseas history, bringing together five of his six league titles and the European Champions League during this period. Chelseas are one of five clubs never to have taken part in the three main club competitions and the only London club to have associated the Champions League.
Based on attendance figures, the club has the sixth largest fan base in England. In terms of club value, Chelseas is the sixth most valuable football club in the world.
