Nearly a decade of the crisis has occurred in the Dutch egg industry. In these years, researchers have tried to find a better way to increase egg production, and to this end they have focused on three elements of population, land and poultry profits. In line with this research, Jackie Linden has recently visited a ranch farm in Rondel Randel.
Peter Koelewijn, Managing Director of Roundel, is one of the leading industry players. He described the importance of this sector in the community and how to inform about this manufacturing system.
He says that in this way, we have been focusing on three principles:
In the first place, the supply of feed and living space for poultry, second, the achievement of scientific results can be repeated, and thirdly, economically, conditions for the return of capital are provided.
