Surah Shu'ara is the twenty-sixth surah and one of the Meccan surahs of the Qur'an, which is located in the 19th chapter of the Qur'an. The naming of this surah as Shu'ara is due to the mention of poets in its verses 224 to 227. Surah al-Shaara deals with the movement of the prophets from Noah (pbuh) to Muhammad (pbuh) and the reminder of the end of their enemies and emphasizes the principles of belief, monotheism, resurrection, the calling of the prophets and the importance of the Qur'an. The poets have considered the main purpose of Surah al-Shaara to comfort the Prophet against the denials and slanders of his people. The warning verse, in which God asks the Prophet (PBUH) to invite his close relatives to Islam, is one of the famous verses of Surah al-Shaara. In virtue of reciting this surah, it is stated that whoever recites Surah Al-Shaara, for every person who believes in Noah, Hud, Shoaib, Saleh, Ibrahim, Jesus and Muhammad, and for every person who denies them, ten rewards will be given.
